Xp updating user policies please wait Chat with horn girls
Visit Stack Exchange We have had about 20 print mapping policies for years in an organization with ~300 clients. This company hasn't done windows updates in over 2 years. Can someone help point me in the right direction to start troubleshooting?I am new to VB but managed to set it up and install Windows XP SP1 yesterday from an original XP disc. The system will wait for Group Policy processing to finish completely before the next startup or logon for this user, and this may result in slow startup and boot performance. For more detailed information, review the event log or run GPRESULT /H from the command line to access information about Group Policy results. We are now going through the process of uninstalling updates 1 by 1 to see what changed (there are 278) but we're completely stumped as to what could cause the policy to not even propogate. See this article: KB3163622 appears to break the way security policies are applied: What happened: MS16-072 changes the security context with which user group policies are retrieved.
I'm now looking at potentially paying MS £199 to fix a problem that they caused and the published potential fix for which is useless!

(I did read the FAQ but was a bit overwhelmed.) Thank you for you patience! You basically have a bit more than 70 MB free after starting the VM, without adding the actual virtualization overhead. From past experience with XP, that seems like enough, but maybe not. The only program that I have installed on it is VBox Guest Additions. I guess I could try installing something else to see if it has any problems, or if the problem seems limited to the SP3 upgrade.
This is simply not enough and will crash Virtualbox, like any other program running out of memory. This Microsoft Knowledge Base article also makes it seem like enough: I just successfully installed Microsoft Office 2003 - which is a pretty hefty installation.
Over the weekend, we were authorized to push out ALL windows updates needed to bring us current (after testing).
It turns out we missed an edge situation; the entire subset of printer deployment group policies no longer make it to clients.

I booted into the recovery drive I had on hand and booted into safe mode. I also uninstalled my graphics driver and software (using DDU to verify).
